How to Take Care of Yourself in a Crisis
As a solo practitioner in mental health counseling, I screen my clients carefully and prefer to work with individuals who are not an immediate danger to themselves or others, or are presently in a situation of domestic violence.
However, we all can run into situations in which we experience a life crisis or mental health crisis that impacts our ability to be at our best. I am not in a position to manage many personal or mental health crises unless they are during daylight hours. So, I provide my clients a Mental Health Safety Plan as part of my website resources.
Please take the following steps before calling me for an appointment or crisis situation, especially if your crisis is after my normal business hours.
Thank you in advance,
Warm regards,
Suzanne
